Summer 2013 students - first summer of the lab in full operation!

The BONE Lab is located in the New Bioengineering and Sciences Building (BSB), which was founded in December 2015, being part of the Erik Jonson School of Engineering and Computer Sciences. The lab was established in November 2012 and is currently equipped with modern tools for biomaterials synthesis, characterization, and biological studies. Visit our Research page for detailed information about facilities available in our laboratory. We also have access to major core research facilities at the UTD campus, including Electron Microscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Microscopy, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, and Thermal Analysis. Microbiology facilities are also available through collaboration with another research lab on campus.

Our research projects are also developed in collaboration with other investigators and clinical partners from: Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry (Dallas, TX), University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX), Texas Back Institute (Plano, TX), Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM, Santa Maria, Brazil), Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, Porto Alegre, Brazil).
